Let's Get Down to Business . . .

No, I'm just kidding. But really, I want to buckle down and get serious about the work that I do. And I want to get serious about my writing. So here's to a new beginning!

I am going to try to post weekly here, sharing a bit about my life and what I am going through. Maybe you can sympathize or empathize. Either way, I'll be putting myself out there and that is what I want to do.

The question is: what do I talk about? Well there are so so many things. Really every person's life is full of so many twists and turns and events, even if they don't realize it at the time. Most likely there will be discussion of wedding planning, because that is taking up a ton of my time and energy. But also, my decision to bury myself in my writing. I have joined two different writing groups and I have begun searching for part time publishing/editing internships just to learn more, maybe helping me get my foot in the door for later.

Whatever I end up posting, this will be a learning process. I hope a learning process for everyone. Because I have an announcement to make! I have no idea what I am doing with my life. And you know what, I think that's okay. No matter how old you are or where you are in life, I think it's okay to not have things figured out. It's okay to just be stumbling along, trying to find your way.

So to anyone taking the time to read this: please know that you are appreciated and that you are special. You are a shining light in the darkness. You have infinite potential, even if you don't know where to aim it. The world is your sandbox and you can do anything you put your mind to. Let's impact the world together.
